I am working from a letter left to me by my father 30 years ago. I do not have a first name for the Patterson family supposedly from Richmond, Va. and settling in or around Peoria and operating some kind of store. The building still had some kind of signage that had their name on it up to the 1930's. The daughter of this family married into a family by the name of Bond, and they moved to Springfield. A daughter of that union produced Cari (spelling?)Bond, who was my Great Grandmother, marrying a person Harry Chapman. I am not sure if Harry was a nickname or his real first name.
