Orphans Court 1754-1759 p. 113 Lancaster Historical Society Archives At an Orphans Court held at Lancaster in and for the County of Lancaster the 5th day of August before Thomas Holliday, Adam Simon Kuhn and William Javen, Esq., Justices. Samuel Patterson, Deceased Upon the petition of James Patterson and Mathias Slaymaker administrators of the goods and chattels etc. of Samuel Patterson deceased late of Strasburg, Township, setting forth that the said Samuel Patterson lately died intestate seized and possessed of a Gist Mill and One Hundred and nineteen Acres of land in the Township aforesaid greatly indebted to divers persons in considerable sums of money that the personal estate of the said deceased innot sufficient to pay the just debts aforesaid and praying the Court to enable them to sell the Gist Mill and plantation aforesaid to pay the just debts aforesaid. The petitioners being duly qualified to the truth of the petition it is ordered that the petitioners sell the real estate according to the prayer of the petitioners on the 19th day Inst., at 10 o¹clock in the forenoon and that the clerk make out sc notices to signify the time and place of sale according to the Act of Assembly in such case make and provided and that report be made to the next Court. >From photocopy from Lancaster Historical Society, Lancaster Co PA typed by Jo Ann Patterson Baxley; [email protected]
