Dear List Members: I am posting this message to both the Border and Paterson Lists hoping that somebody may be able to help us. A collective group of family members working on our William Paterson have been stuck in Australia unable to get out! We know that Willian was 53 years old when he arrived in Australia in 1803 and therefore this puts his birth at ca. 1750. A search at the SRO and again on the web (IGI) comes up with one possible William, but then again, the IGI is restricted to 75 entries. William PATTERSON Sex: M Christened: 21 Nov 1750 Stirling, Stirling, Scotland Parents: Father: John PATTERSON Mother: Agnes COWEN It would help us to know that we can eliminate this William if somebody has him confirmed in their ancestry and it does not include us.
