I am stuck on the Kentucky side of my Pattersons: Francis "Frank" Patterson b.~1776 VA, d.1850-1860 Hendricks Co, IN m. 1808 Mason Co, KY to Margaret "Maggie" ROSS (b.~1778 VA, d.1850-1860 Hendricks Co, IN) children of Francis & Margaret Patterson: --female b.1800-1810 --male b. 1800-1810 --male b. 1800-1810 --John K.Y. b. 1814 Fleming Co, KY, d.1902 Hendricks Co, IN, m. 1835 (where?) to Arie Ann SHOCKLEY (these are my g-g-g grandparents) --Susan b.~1822 KY, d. after 1885, m. 1839 Hendricks Co, IN to Jeremiah WARD Francis Patterson is on the 1810-1830 censuses for Fleming County, KY (adjacent to Mason County, KY) and emigrated to Hendricks County, IN around 1837 (he shows up on the 1840 and 1850 Hendricks County censuses). I have been unable to find a tombstone or more specific date of death for Francis & Margaret. An article on John K.Y. Patterson in the 1885 edition of "The History of Hendricks County" says that he and Susan were the only children out of 5 still living. John & Arie had children named: Rosanna, James H. (went to Burt Co, NE), Margaret E., Francis M. "Frank," Hester Ann, John W., William E., America, Silas, and Caroline "Carrie" Patterson. Any help appreciated.
