I thought this might be of interest.� It should be noted that Nathaniel Ferrier was married to Agnes Patterson and that Elizabeth, Jane & Prudence Patterson were sisters to Nathaniel Ferrier and married to Robert, William and Alexander Patterson respectively.� All Patterson siblings were children of Samuel Patterson.� This land� was bought and later sold (24 Mar 1806) as heirs of Thomas Ferrier. � Wilson County, Tennessee, Deeds, books A-B, 1789-1807 (FHL film 0427166) Book A, p. 404 - Samuel Donelson to John Farrier, Nathl Farrier, George Farrier, Elizabeth Patterson, Jane Patterson and Prudence Patterson, 320 acres, 10 May 1804. This Indenture made this 10th day of May in the year of Our Lord Christ Eighteen Hundred & four between Samuel Donelson of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee of the one part and John Farrier, Nathl Farrier, George Farrier, Elizabeth Patterson, Jane Patterson & Prudence Patterson of the State aforesaid of the other part.� Witnesseth that the said Samuel Donelson for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Farrier, Nathl Farrier, George Farrier, Elizabeth Patterson, Jane Patterson & Prudence Patterson, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and sold unto the sd John Farrier, Nathl Farrier, George Farrier, Elizabeth Patterson, Jane Patterson & Prudence Patterson one certain tract of land situate lying and being in Wilson County on Stoners Creek & Bounded as follows: beginning on the old corner a black oak & white oak thence along the old line East three hundred & twenty poles to a sugar tree thence South one hundred and sixty poles to a stake thence West three hundred & twenty poles to a white oak and thence North one hundred and sixty poles to the beginning Containing by estimation three hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging and with all and singular the benefits & emoluments there out & there from to arise unto the said John Farrier, Nathl Farrier, George Farrier, Elizabeth Patterson, Jane Patterson & Prudence Patterson, their heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behest of the sd John Farrier, Nathl Farrier, George Farrier, Elizabeth Patterson, Jane Patterson & Prudence Patterson, their heirs and assigns forever & the said Samuel Donelson for himself and his heirs and all other person or persons whomsoever shall and will warrant & forever defend.� In witness thereof he hath set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. ������������������������������������������������������������������������ Samuel Donelson {seal} Signed in presence of Alex Donelson Jurat State of Tennessee}���������������� June term 1804���������������������������� to John Farrier Wilson County}���������������������� The within deed from Samuel Donelson & others was duly proven ��������������������������������������������������� By the oath of Alex Donelson a witness hereto ��������������������������������������������������� Let the same be registered.
