Am searching for the father to James Patterson whose Mother, Nancy is 51 in the 1850 Lincoln County, Tennessee census. There is no father listed with this family. James and wife, Martha and children are living in the household of George Kirkland and wife, Susan Patterson and son along with Mother of James and Susan, Nancy, and three Harris children. It is thought that the Harris children must be children of a dead daughter but have no proof of it. Have not been able to find out who Nancy's husband was. Also have no idea if he is dead or what happened to him by 1850. Would appreciate very much any help anyone can give me on this family.
