Abstract of Will located with Lancaster Historical Society, Lancaster, PA done by Jo Ann Patterson Baxley ([email protected]) Sept 1998 Abstract of Will of Samuel Patterson Book C Vol 1 p. 458 15 Nov 1775 Sadsbury Township, Lancaster Co., PA Give and bequeath : my well beloved wife Rebecca my horse and her saddle and bed and furniture and a cow and eight pounds yearly while she remains a widow. my son Matthew 10 pounds my son Samuel 15 pounds my son William 05 pounds my son John¹s widow 02 pounds her daughter Sarah 02 pounds her son Samuel 02 pounds my son-in-law Archbeld Tweed and his wife Jenat 10 pounds Wife Rebecca and son Samuel were to be executors. Witness present: John Campbell William Ross Lancaster Co. Samuel Patterson signed with his mark. 17 June 1777 John Campbell and William Ross appeared before registrar and the will was proved. Letters of Testamentary were granted to Samuel Patterson. Rebecca Patterson renounced her right of executrix. Samuel Patterson was qualified and to exhibit an inventory before 17 July next.
