ROBERT PATTERSON was born Abt. 1768 in Lancaster County, PA,(son of Samuel Patterson and Martha Ramsey) and died January 30, 1854 in Chapel Hill, Marshall (Old Bedford) County, TN. He married ELIZABETH FERRIER December 16, 1793 in Mecklenburg County, NC, daughter of THOMAS FERRIER. Notes for ROBERT PATTERSON: Robert and Elizabeth are buried in the Patterson-Swanson Cemetery (now known as the Swanson Cemetery) located on Morningside Drive in Chapel Hill, TN. JAMES M PATTERSON (Son of Andrew and nephew of Robert) was born April 08, 1820 in Chapel Hill, Marshal (Old Bedford) County, TN, and died December 27, 1877 in Chapel Hill, Marshal (Old Bedford) County, TN. Notes for JAMES M PATTERSON: Buried in Swanson Cemetery, Chapel Hill, TN Robert and Andrew had a brother, James Patterson, born abt 1764, Lancaster County, PA, but what became of him is unknown.
