Hello, I just thought I'd check to see if there is anyone else out there researching my Patterson family. My immigrant ancestor was James Patterson, b. c1633, who was a prisoner of Oliver Cromwell and exiled to America in 1652. He married Rebecca Stevenson and settled in Middlesex Co., Mass. Four more generations of Pattersons in my direct line were born in that county, lastly John Patterson, b. 1751. He moved to Monmouth Co., NJ, where, in 1778, he married Phoebe Bowne. Their oldest child was Safety Warden Patterson, b. 1779, who moved to Fayette Co., Penna. The family remains there, in my line, until today. Any help? Lorin Snyder [email protected]
