I am new to this list (the PABERKS list). I descend from John Patterson (b 1766) listed below. I have believed for some time that John comes from some of the Pattersons who moved from PA to SC in the mid 1700s, or so. Can anyone help me with finding who his ancestors were? Foster, and they lived in Union Co., GA. At any rate, I do know that there were 3 daughters born before 1800, according to the 1800 Buncombe Co., NC census. I descend from John & Margaret's son, George Patterson (b 1800). Again, any help with John's ancestors (or Margaret Black's) would be greatly appreciated. I do know that these Pattersons were found quite often with the other families of DENTON, CHASTAIN, KINCAID & BLACK. Thanks, again.
