Greetings all. The several posts lately regarding John Patterson prompt me to wonder yet again if there is some connection to my Joseph Patterson who appears in SC with a land grant in 1774. The names Joseph and Robert appear in both f amilies and the dates are close enough to cause question. Joseph's land was in Laurens Co. where he died in 1812. He was married at least twice to Pamela Ha ll and Rebecca ?Horne?. There were four children, Betsy thought to have come w ith him to SC as a toddler, Joseph, Jr., Robert, and Nancy. Another recent tid bit lists a John Patterson as a witness to a land transaction in Laurens Co.in 1789 between Solomon Langston and William Copper. The Langstons eventually mar ried into Nancy Patterson's family. Clues anyone? Rebekah Patterson Gray
