Extract from: Ancestry Daily News 04 March 1999 The rumors have been flying regarding the launch of the LDS Family History Web site. In response to an inquiry on the subject, David Rencher, Manager, Outreach Coordination of the Genealogical Society of Utah, has given us the following official statement: "Sometime in March or April 1999, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will conduct a brief beta test of a new genealogical service for the Internet. The Church believes this service will greatly enhance the way people trace their family history. A formal announcement and launch is expected in the Spring or Summer of 1999. Details will not be available until then." I just said no, and what I wanted to read still showed up, it just made a few pictures and sound not show up. So, save time, say no when asked. -- Kathryn Rhinehart Bassett (Pasadena CA) [email protected] "Genealogy is my bag" "GH is my soap" http://pw2.netcom.com/~kathrynb/kathryn.htm ICQ World-Wide-Pager address http://wwp.mirabilis.com/17663458
