My Great,Great, Great Grandfather was Robert W. Patterson. He was born in Kentucky in 1815 and was the son of a William Patterson. I am not sure if he was born in Mercer county or not, but he was married there to Lydia Tumey. I am not sure whether his father was the Same William that you were looking for information on. It may be possible that Robert and Unity were Brother and Sister. The only thing that I know about William is that he was from Virginia and his wife was from Pennsylvania.
