Jerome No Photo Virginia A. Patterson Virginia A. Patterson of Jerome died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital in Twin Falls. She was born Feb. 4, 1922, in Omaha, Neb. She lived in Omaha until age 10 when she moved to Ansley, Neb. and lived with her grandparents. She attended school in Ansley and graduated from Ansley High School in 1940. She met and married Don Patterson of Ansley on Nov. 29, 1940. Virginia and Don moved to California and lived there for two years. Virginia moved back to Ansley when Don was drafted into the service. After the war they moved to Jerome, Idaho, where they farmed until 1967. In March of 1967, they moved to Weiser, Idaho, where they were employed at the Western Auto store for their brother-in-law. In 1976, they retired and moved back to Jerome where she has resided until her death. They had two sons, Mike and Steve Patterson. She is survived by her husband, Don of Jerome; one son, Steve (Tracie) Patterson of Weiser, Idaho; five grandchildren, Sydney, Stephanie, Jason, Val and Matt; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mike Patterson and one grandson, Erik Patterson. Graveside funeral services were conducted Monday, June 25, 2001, at 10 a.m. in the Jerome Cemetery with the Rev. Quinton Kimbrow officiating. Hove Robertson Funeral Chapel, 3rd and Fillmore, in Jerome was in charge of the arrangements.
