My gggrandfather was Robert Patterson from NC. I wonder if this might be one of the families you mentioned. If so you may want to look at Collin County, Texas as that is where his family eventually located. That county list is listed a little differently because it gets mixed up with Collingsworth County if the address does not include an "n" in the access address. It is as follows for Collin County: COLL-N-L@rootsweb.com . There are several books at the Mckinney, TX library with Patterson family histories in them. ( COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS FAMILIES) McKinny is the county seat of Collin County and the people are most gracious and kind to help with look ups. Another reason I feel these Pattersons may be the ones you seek is the Georgia connection.
