The Dodd parents were in san augustine co. in 1860 and the father, ashley haywood dodd is dead of pleurisy in march of 1860. The Patterson parents were in san augustine or sabine co. tx and moved to st. landrys parish, LA by 1870. they are listed there in census with a grandson of the patterson/dodd marriage who was born in 1862, age 8. These two bridegrooms went to war together- they joined the texas infantry 19th division and died before the end of 1862 both of disease ,in training camp and never got to war. CAMP RHONDO, arkansas.
