Is anyone related to the Pittsylvania County, Virginia Pattersons? Littleberry Patterson is the first Patterson to the area, not known where from. He was b. abt. 1749, d. 18 Oct 1796. He married Nancy (Nanney) Thomas abt. 1770 and they had the following children; Elizabeth, John, Agatha, William, Edward, Robert, Thomas, Milley (Molly), and Fanny. Then my tree skips a generation because I don't know what child of Littleberry's my ancestor, Willis Huntas Patterson, comes from. Willis was born 04 Oct 1822, married Ann J. Evans, b. 1823. They had the following children: Mary C. (G), William H., Willis Huntas, Jr., John Thomas (My ggrandfather), Rhoda Ann, Martha Terry, Lucy F., Josiah Davis, and Sarah J. My line comes from John Thomas Patterson, b. 05 Sep 1854, m. Mary Jane Williams. They had: Lily, Clara Mae, Grover Thomas, Nora Ann, Daley Bertha, Lloyd Maynard, and Marion Linwood (my grandfather).
