I'm looking for any information about my 3rd Ggrandmother UNITY PATTERSON b. 19 Sep 1802 VA...m. NOAH GILPIN HAYDEN...10 Dec. 1822 Mercer Co.,KY...for the marriage application there was a WILLIAM PATTERSON listed at the surety... I found a WILLIAM PATTERSON b. 1801 VA. as a son of ARMSTEAD PATTERSON....my first thinking was that WM. was UNITY's brother??, but never found UNITY listed as one of ARMSTEAD's children...so my next thought was that maybe ARMSTEAD could have been a brother to UNITY's father?? Does anyone know anything about ARMSTEAD's parents and siblings?? Digging a little deeper I found a WILLIAM PATTERSON listed on the 1800 Mercer Co.Tax List...so this person could possibly have been UNITY's father...I next found him listed on the 1810 Mercer Co.census on page 326 with a child in the household the right age for UNITY?? Does anyone have any knowledge about this WILLIAM PATTERSON??...in 1810 who would have been older than 45 yrs.?? There were 9 children listed in the household with a wife 26-45 yrs. old.(4 boys & 5 girls). If there is anyone who could help me out here I would be very grateful... Unity lived out most of her life in Greene Co.IN and she is buried at Owensburg Cemetery, Jackson Twp.there. She died 12 Apr 1870. Thanks so much, N.J.Skinner White in MI vwhite0901@aol.com
