I am researching Adam Patterson, born about 1798 in NY and died in IN. Census indicates all his children born NY. The 1830 census shows about five or six Adam Pattersons. The only one that is close to the age of the one I am researching is the Adam Patterson appearing on the 1830 Otsego County, NY census, town of Middlefield. First born child was a female born prior to 1830. Age of Adam, his wife and the child fit the family I am researching. I am interested in knowing if any of you have determined that this Adam Patterson is a branch of the Pattersons you are researching. Hopefully not and this Adam will turn out to be my husband's ggggrandfather. Thanks for your help.
