    2. --part1_14.142ad687.2832afb6_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit hELLO cousins, I subscribed to the patterson list...maybe I can get some leads this way? gonna give it a try, anyway....as I would really like to at least account for all of ashleyHaywood DODD and lucy CAVE DODD/AUTRY's kids....and their lineage is the same as ours from their poppa and momma back. also, I am searching for newspaper- articles of henderson dodd or malcom henderson or henderson malcom or any combination thereof....to see if we can find what happened to that little henderson dodd kid born 1852 ala.(or at least prove the maude dodd legend-that he was killed by the kick of a horse)..or when and where, especially. I think it was in bandera co. tx. or san augustine co. tx?...so that is where I am looking first. (my thinking is he was too small in alabama to try to help with a horse). IF anyone gets any library time to check books or papers.?..look for the kid. thanks. as it stands now: we have ashleys names of descent as: DODD/CAVE DODD/GRABENER,Theodore, married 1857(1858?) san aug.tx DODD/PATTERSON, James N. married 1860 san aug.tx DODD/PATTERSON,Marcella, married 1860 san aug.tx DODD/COLLINS,victoria asenath, married 1871 Bowie,tx DODD/BOWEN(Bowen/Grabener)-NO ISSUE LIVING and the henderson dodd , little boy, who we have not proven. I am needing a patterson family in census, I suppose in san augustine around 1850 or 1860 showing children: james and marcella...and they might be on the 1860 as married? unknown. Don't know after marriage what happened to them? any help appreciated...thanks to the list and the cousins. sincerely, judy hugg grimes, 17432 yellowstone, yorba linda,ca. 92886 --part1_14.142ad687.2832afb6_boundary Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Return-Path: <PATTERSON-L-request@rootsweb.com> Received: from rly-zc01.mx.aol.com (rly-zc01.mail.aol.com [172.31.33.1]) by air-zc05.mail.aol.com (v78.38) with ESMTP; Mon, 14 May 2001 22:19:16 -0400 Received: from lists5.rootsweb.com (lists5.rootsweb.com [63.92.80.123]) by rly-zc01.mx.aol.com (v77_r1.36) with ESMTP; Mon, 14 May 2001 22:18:21 -0400 Received: (from slist@localhost) by lists5.rootsweb.com (8.10.1/8.10.1) id f4F2G8m17157; Mon, 14 May 2001 19:16:08 -0700 Resent-Date: Mon, 14 May 2001 19:16:08 -0700 X-Original-Sender: JUDYSROOTS@aol.com Mon May 14 19:16:07 2001 From: JUDYSROOTS@aol.com Message-ID: <2f.150b0e5f.2831eb5e@aol.com> Date: Mon, 14 May 2001 22:15:58 EDT Old-To: Meeka233840@cs.com Old-CC: PATTERSON-L@rootsweb.com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 5.0 for Windows sub 138 Subject: [PATTERSON] Patterson Resent-Message-ID: <DJHxw.A.4LE.oFJA7@lists5.rootsweb.com> To: PATTERSON-L@rootsweb.com Resent-From: PATTERSON-L@rootsweb.com X-Mailing-List: <PATTERSON-L@rootsweb.com> archive/latest/2242 X-Loop: PATTERSON-L@rootsweb.com Precedence: list Resent-Sender: PATTERSON-L-request@rootsweb.com Hello my gg grandfather had two children who married Patterson kids. james m. dodd wed marissa Patterson in san augustine co. tx. in 1860. on the same day at the same place in the same year... marilla dodd married james N. patterson in san augustine co. tx. yes, the names are really similiar...this caused me much trouble at first and then I established data with the mother of the dodd children had a double wedding the same way with her twin sister...so, it is a family habit? The names are correct as I have written for the certificates. Now, this is before civil war..I do not know what happened to the james m. dodd and marilla patterson dodd. there was a james m. dodd in the texas rangers but there was not enough data on the file to establish if it is the same one..age does match. And, I h ave also lost to time james N. Patterson and wife marilla dodd patterson. I am hoping the war did not eat him. I have found them in NO census and in NO military listing. The parent of these dodd kids died in march of 1860 and the widow stayed in san augustine but was in bandera county in 1870 and 1880. These familys patterson/dodd are not close by her. DO you have any milam co. or walker co. or any texas county pattersons...san augustine or otherwise? The dodd family was in bell, walker, milam, falls, montgomery, harris, williamson co.'s tex. would appreciate any help...thanks judy hugg grimes ============================== Create a FREE family website at MyFamily.com! http://www.myfamily.com/banner.asp?ID=RWLIST2 --part1_14.142ad687.2832afb6_boundary--
