    2. Gary E. Myer
    3. Oops! Forgot to change the subject line, so I am posting this again with the correct subject line: Hi, Bill, and everyone else on the list: Bill's query about Charles Patterson from Stratford, CT, prompted me to ask again: does anyone know anything about the origins of the following Patterson: PATTERSON, Hezekiah, born ca. 1750-1760, died ca. 1830-1840 born in CT, settled in Delaware Co., NY, by 1795 with two sons (Thomas and Sheldon, both born CT) and two daughters (first names unknown). Hezekiah and family may have come from Fairfield Co., but that is not certain. I know about the Hezekiah mentioned in Jacobus' "Families of Old Fairfield" but have not been able to tie mine to that one. Also know about the "Hezekiah Batterson" of the colonial period. Still trying to find where mine came from! Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas to you all! --Gary -- Gary E. 1. [PATTERSON-L] PATTERSON and PHILANSON
    2. Gary E. Myer
    3. Hello, Everyone-- Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving and are not finding it painful around the beltline to sit at your computers! Have a(nother) puzzle for you: A marriage certificate filed in Rochester, Minnesota, in 1868, lists the groom as "Seth PHILANSON Patterson" and the bride as Hulda Foot. This Seth is a brother (the only one I know of so far) of my great-great-grandfather, Darwin Patterson. Both Darwin and Seth were born in the 1820's in Delaware County, NY. I know from family records that their father was Thomas Patterson and their mother, I think, was Sally ____, born ca. 1795. I am wondering if their mother's maiden name was "PHILANSON". But has anyone ever come across this surname (if it is) of "PHILANSON"???? I can't find it anywhere! --Gary -- Gary E.
