No father is mentioned on my grandfather James Salmon's birth certificate, but other information points at James Wilson as a possibility. I would like to make contact with any descendants of Charles Wilson and Caroline Wilson, or of Robert Wilson who would be willing to assist me in my research via autosome DNA. Thanks Marian Salmon

    1. Pattenden from Burwash, Sussex

    3. Hello I am a new subscriber and would like to know if anyone is researching my Pattenden family from Burwash, Sussex. I have just discovered my ggrandmother was Susan Pattenden but appears to have been christened Susannah in Burwash, Sussex. I first discovered her on the 1881 census in Stoke Upon Trent, aged 46. Her husband was William HOLBROOK from Over, Cheshire, described as a soldier on their marriage certificate in 1858 in St Martins in the Field, London. Her father's name is Henry PATTENDEN, a Labourer, presumably from Burwash. Her first son is born in Canada in 1863/4 and her second son in Stoke on Trent in 1866. I do not know her husband's regiment or when he left the army but he is a 'carter' when the second son was born. I wonder if anyone is researching this family and should be grateful for any information. Many thanks Rose Hughes

    1. [PATTENDEN-UK] Ann PATTENDEN = Onesiphorus RANDALL
    2. Sue & Steve
    3. Hello I am new to the list and am hoping someone may be able to help me. An ancestor of mine, Onesiphorus RANDALL [born c 1798 Cley, NFK, died 1873 Poplar, MDX] married Ann c 1820, whereabouts unknown. According to another researcher, Ann died in Poplar in 1842. 'Oni' then went on to marry Mary Ann VOUSELY, who bore him a son also named Onesiphorus. I am trying to fill in details about his early life with Ann PATTENDEN, and am hoping someone on the list will be able to help me. Many thanks Sue
