Jinks, Somewhere I have info that Harriett inherited some slaves from her Father, Erasmus Culpepper, Jr.?? I can't seem to find where and when!! Maybe on the Culpepper Connections website? The Culpeppers were wealthy. I also have some kind of land documents. They appear to be sales certificates from the General land Office. They are dated 1837(2 certificates of sale), 1858, and 1860. They all state, John F. Pate of Wilcox County. The lands were in Cahaba and Greenville. I haven't done any research to find out where these places are. I know he voted in 1860 Presidential election in Wilcox County. Thanks so much for all you do. I just don't know how you keep it all so organized!! Vickie
