Albert Nelson Pate, 75 passed from this life on Friday, February 19, 2010, at his residence in Holly Lake Ranch, Texas. Nelson was formally a long-time resident of San Augustine, Texas. He was born to Fannie (Gibson) Pate and Kenton Logan Pate on October 6, 1934 in Nacogdoches County, Texas. He was retired having worked in the Timber Industry as a Timber Consultant for many years, and was a member of the Holly Brook Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in San Augustine, with his son, Rev. Kent Pate and Rev. James Day officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens in San Augustine, County, Texas. His survivors include: His wife, Patricia Phillips Pate of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; Daughter and Son-in-law: Barbara Ann Pate Winfield and Joe of Crockett; Sons and Daughters-in-law: Kent Pate and Belinda of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Phil Pate and Kathy of Gilmer Texas; Grandchildren: Kevin & Leah Pate, Adam & Heather Pate, Ryan & Shanna Pate, Aaron & Randi Pate, Kathryn Winfield and Jessica Allen & Billy; Great-Grandchildren: Andrew Pate, Christian Pate, Eden Pate, Kyleigh Pate, Brayden Pate and Karsyn Pate; Niece and Nephew: Kent Langston Pate and Karen Pate Wiatt. Pallbearers will be Ryan Pate, Kevin Pate, Aaron Pate, Adam Pate, Kent L. Pate, and Billy Allen; Honorary Pallbearers will be John Scull, John Henly, Jerry Ford, Dan Peppard, Bill Herman, The Deacon Body of First Baptist Church of San Augustine, Lee Roy Hanzel, Pete Smith & and the Class of 1952.
