Marilyn Donna Fairchild, 74, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012, at her home in Liberty after battling cancer. Donna was born Jan. 4, 1938, in Fairview, Mo., to Victor Eugene Price and Katherine Woodrow Forsythe Price. Donna had a wonderful childhood on the farm with her six brothers and sisters. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1955. After graduation, she attended college and worked in Joplin and Kansas City, Mo. Donna married Don Fairchild on Aug. 20, 1959. They lived in South Dakota while Don served in the Air Force, and then moved to Liberty, Mo., in 1968 where they raised their family. She enjoyed volunteering in the Liberty community. Upon retirement, she enjoyed many activities with Don including gardening and cooking. She cared deeply for her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Hugh Gene Price and Danny Joe Price, and her two sisters, Nancy Lou "Dee Dee" Daugherty and Verla Mae Pate. Donna is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Don Fairchild; her two children, Ed and his wife Katharine Fairchild of Platte City, Mo., and Nancy and her husband Dave Clinesmith of Grove, Okla.; her grandchildren, Katherine and Cara Clinesmith, and James and Anna Fairchild; great- granddaughter, Kera Weems; her niece, Peggy and her husband Harvey McDaniel; her brother, Jerry Price; her sister, Frankie and her husband Carol Kimbrough; her sister-in-law, Lora Mae Price; many other nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank Dr. John Bean, D.O., as well as his dedicated staff. A visitation is planned from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, with a brief funeral service at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume immediately following the services until 7 p.m. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in the Dice Cemetery, Fairview.
