GIBSON Loretta Lea Shirk Gibson, resident of Foley, AL, passed away at a Pensacola Hospital on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Loretta finally received the Angel Wings she so richly deserved. She was born on December 21, 1934 in Michawukee, Indiana. She loved to travel and her marriage to a career soldier was perfect for her. She got to travel, raise her family, meet new people and make new friends and share her giving self with so many people. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Ray Bailey and her grandson, Brannon Ray Hendrix. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 53 years, Harvey E. "Hoot" Gibson. Two sons, Marvin Pritchett, Kingman, IN, and Mike Gibson, Columbus, GA. One daughter, Anne Laura Pate (Mark Traywick), Columbus, GA. She had five grandchildren, two great grandchildren. She also raised two foster children, Heather Madden Yehling and Mandy Madden, St. Louis, MO., and a host of other relatives and friends. At Loretta's request there will be no public funeral service.
