Thanks, Joel. The Pate-Love marriages piqued my interest. So far, I've found three different Pate lines with a Love connection--Edward, Thoroughgood, and now John 1787 SC. Also, there was some kind of Pate-Love connection with the Matthew Pate who died in 1809 in Greene Co., Tennessee.
