Obituary Jack Pate Jr., 69, of North Beach, and formerly a long-time resident of Edgewater, died May 31 due to complications associated with lung cancer. Born on Sept. 29,1943 in Durham, NC to the late Jack L. Sr. and Evelyn Pate. Jack graduated from Ballou High School in Washington, DC. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, along with working on and riding motorcycles. He is survived by his ex-wife, Linda Smith; two children, Sherry George and Tammy Curry; and four grandchildren, Brian Bennett, Ariel George, Jesse George and William Curry. Interment will be private.
