JACKSON, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. Gerald W. Barnett, 70, of Jackson, SC, who entered into rest October 6, 2012, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the First Baptist Church of Jackson. Rev. Marion Britton officiating. Interment in Southlawn Cemetery. Mr. Barnett was a native of Arkansas, a former resident of Oklahoma, having made Jackson his home. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson and a retired Aircraft Design Engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. and Ruby O. Barnett and his brother, Norman E. Barnett. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald & Annette Barnett; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol & Lyndon Pate; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Barnett all of Jackson; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Cliff Hastings, Keith Barnett, Kevin Barnett, Terry Lucero, Joey Lucero and Buster Smith. The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to the service.
