    3. NICKERSON - Norma Jane Warn, 78, died May 16, 2010, at her home in Nickerson. She was born May 26, 1931, in Hutchinson, the daughter of George "Skeet", Sr. and Dorris Fox Pate. She graduated from Nickerson High School in 1949, and was a member of the Nickerson United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. She and her husband moved back to Nickerson in 1984 from St. Louis, Mo., where they had lived for 30 years. Previously, they had lived in the Kansas City area. Norma was known for her sewing skills, having made wedding dresses, theater costumes, and racing silks for camels. She contributed hand-made items to many charity auctions.   On June 8, 1949, she married James Warn in Nickerson. He died Feb. 9, 1996. Survivors include: sons, March Warn and wife Barbara, Columbia, Mo., and Denton Warn and wife Marilyn Lake, Hutchinson; a daughter, Maxine Christensen and husband Dennis, Nickerson; brothers, George Pate, Jr. and wife Becky, Dunedin, Fla., Gideon Pate and wife Mary, Nickerson, and Harry Scott Pate and wife Louise, Alamogordo, N.M.; brother-in-law, Layton Warn and wife Marcia, Hutchinson; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at a later date and will be announced by Elliott Mortuary and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nickerson United Methodist Church, sent in care of the mortuary.
