Janie Lucille Cauthen Pate, 87, died Tuesday, Nov. 13 , 2012. She was the daughter of the late John and Ella Bufford Cauthen. Survivors include five sons, William D. Cauthen of McDonough, Ga., Harry Pate Jr., Ervin Pate and Herbert Pate, all of Kershaw and Levy Pate of Lancaster; two daughters, Rhonda K. Jeffcoat of Riverdale Ga., Debra Sullivan of Heath Springs; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Kershaw, conducted by the Rev. James R. Belton, with burial in Highland Heights Cemetery.
