Deacon Hills Davis - SAVANNAH - Deacon Hillis Davis, 86, entered into rest on Wednesday December 28, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Sardis, GA and lived in Savannah most of his life. He was a member of West Broad Street Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he served on the Deacon Board and sang in the Choir. Survivors: wife of 53 yrs., Errie Hudgens Davis; sons, Louis Cooper, Joseph Jackson, Kenneth (Ann) Davis, and Anthony Davis; daughters, Betty Pate, Barbara Gordon, Debra Greene, Carolyn Davis, and Deadira (David) Brents; sisters, Mattie Mae Barnes; 2 dedicated granddaughters, Delettra TaJuana Jackson and Karshundra (Shaun) Mack; 28 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral: 11am, Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at West Broad Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2501 MLK, Jr. Blvd. Interment: Woodville Cemetery.
