My folks did live in Tn. Hopefully we can make a connection. Mathew Pate In the yr 1785 shows with 375 a of land on the Nolichucky River, Cpt Henry Conway's Co State of Franklin todays Gr TN Mathew Pate with Jeremiah and Thomas Pate show with 500 ac on the Chucky River, Gr Tn, in the 1798 Cpt William Whites CO.
