    1. [PATE] Pate's - Dyer Co, TN
    2. Jinks Lee
    3. I just received information from a will dated 8 Dec 1844, Madison Co, TN Will of Samuel Naill - in which he leaves 330 ac in Dyer Co, TN to Jackson, James, Matthew, Stephen and Carrey Pate (could this be Cain??) - land to be equally divided between the 5 boys - says it is land Jackson and James Pate are now living on. He has several Naill children, which he leaves $1.00 each - 3 youngest sons, John, Samuel and George to divide what's left -- It seems very funny that he would leave the Pate boys more than he left his own children. Does anyone have a clue to the connection between Samuel Naill and the Pate's?? Jinks

    1. [PATE] Margaret PATE. b. 1780 VA
    2. CSWR (Carol)
    3. I have found on the LDS FamilySearch.org website: Margaret PATE, b. 1780 - Washington, VA ---- " 3. Margaret Pate <http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/IGI/individual_record.asp?recid=100162313956&lds=1&region=11&regionfriendly=North+America&frompage=99> - International Genealogical Index / NA Gender: Female Birth: 1780 , Washington, Virginia Record submitted after 1991 by a member of the LDS Church. No additional information is available. Ancestral File may list the same family and the submitter. No source information is available. FamilySearch" International Genealogical Index v5.0 North America ......." ----- We are seeking Margery Pate, b. abt 1782 VA/TN; marr: HOLLOWAY. Is anyone familiar with this MARGARET? She is the 3rd of 15 hits for PATE - PEIGHT - PIATT matches, but the only one spelled PATE and from VA. The other matches were from PA and NJ. Margaret could very well be "Margery" ?? Margery was still living in the 1860 Census, Pope Co, IL with her husband Minter HOLLOWAY (both living with daughter Ruth Moab HOLLOWAY -SISTLER and family. She and Minter's age listed as "77". Family Bible notes list Margery's parents as Mathew (with one T) and Daubgney, (or something similar to that). Margery's mother's name is illegible on the note. I am not in possession of and can not view the original writing in the Family Bible, and I do not know 'who' exactly wrote the notes before the Bible was sent off for repair. The notes were found folded in my mother's bible, and they are disintegrating even with very cautious and careful handling. We estimate the notes were written between 1950-1955. Margery (or Margaret) and John Minter HOLLOWAY were married about 1800 in probably Monroe Co, TN. They had 10 children listed in the 1830 TN Census. - Carol - -- *..· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- If you think education is expensive, try ignorance. -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) -:¦:- still building--> http://thefamilywalter.com/index.html | 9000 individuals -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´ .·´ *Corell,Reichert,Wischhan,Hülsmeier,Reus,Saueressig,Rodewald,Bast,Burghardt,Rencken,Bach, -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*Walter,Sistler,Palmer,Hall,Maxwell,Eisenhauer,Holloway,Harvey,Pate,Mitchell,DeHart ((¸¸.·´*
