Just doing some searching today and found these Pates in Knox Co TN archives. Does anyone know these Pates? John Pate married Fanny Hubbs 8 Dec 1797 and Anthony Pate married Ebby Reynolds 22 Sep 1800. Jinks gave me a hint to look in Knox Co for the parents of my John F. Pate who married Harriett Culpepper in 1838 in Wilcox Co AL. Let me know if I should rule these two out. Thanks....Vickie

Vickie: A bit more on these marriages- John Pate married Fannie Hubbs in Knox Co TN 8 Dec 1897. The date is perhaps a license issue date. The Bondsman was John Miller, Witness was H L White and marriage took place at Mount Zion Church, Medina, TN.
