Lindy: Yes, Redding Pate did have a LWT. In fact I have two records for a will for him. Both are recorded in Washington Co GA. First at Book A, Page 49 (I have no date on this one) and second at Book B, Page 209 dated 9 Apr 1839. The latter may be a continuation of the former. Robert W Pate witnessed a LWT of an Andrew Dillon made 5 Nov 1823, perhaps in Columbia Co, and probated 9 Jan 1824 in Jefferson Co GA. Little probative value here other than confirmation that Robert W Pate was in the area in 1823-24. I'm trying to locate [oh the sins of our early days in genealogy) my source references on these. If I locate it, it would be a good one to see if any mention of Green B Burney is made. Joel
