Joel, Here is another thing to wonder about Robert F. Pate. I have his death certificate. It states that he was 78 when he died in 1923, which would have made him only 5 in 1850. It also states that he was born in Camden, AL. His father is listed as W. Pate and his mother as Elizabeth. The only thing I know for sure now is that he is my greatgrandfather, the father of Thomas C. Pate and died in Pensacola, FL. Oct.27, 1923. Linda Pate Ricks
