Jinks, My note on Siota is that she is the daughter of Martha Susan Thurman Belle Jackson and of Solomon Belle. Solomon Belle is the first husband of Martha Susan. Mrs. Collins says that she married Sanford Marchant, her aunt's stepson. I guess the question is then--did she marry Wm McCoy after (or before Sanford) or not at all ? Meredith. I'll also after painting the porch put some of the land and family intertwinings back on the list of Pates, Millers, Clarks etc. Plus go back and look at James Pate's numbers of children in 1840 and put the sticks with Jane Pates and they "seem" to indicate what happend to a large number of children living with Jane from 1840 to 1850 when she is dead. He jumps from about 6 to about 10. Ah life is amusing and confusing with these Pates. Meredith
