Judith "Judy" Ann Pate - Dodson Williamsburg, Virginia Judith "Judy" Ann Pate - Dodson, 57, of Williamsburg, Virginia lost her battle with Congestive Heart Failure at MCV Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on 18 June 2003. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde L. Pate, Sr. and Clara Mae Lukens - Pate. Also her son Brian Keith Dodson in 1982. Judy was a resident of the Peninsula for 22 years. She and her family moved to Newport News in 1981, then retired in Williamsburg in 1993. She was a member of St. George Episcopal Church in Newport News. Judy worked civil service for the U.S. Army TRADOC at Ft. Monroe, Virginia, and retired in 1992. Then worked part time as a book keeper for Disabled American Veterans Thrift Stores in Newport News. She serviced the community by providing meals for the homeless through St. George Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband, James L. Dodson of Williamsburg, Virginia, her daughter Mrs. Christina L. Dodson - Evans and her husband John of Virginia, her son Mr. James Lee Dodson and his wife Leslie of South Carolina and her son Mr. Richard K. Dodson and his fiancé Rhonda Graham of Virginia, her sister Mrs. Linda S. Pate - White and her husband William, her brothers, Mr. Clifford C. Pate and his wife Sandy of P.A., Mr. Clyde L. Pate, Jr. and his wife Donna of Nevada, Mr. Eugene Pate and his wife Laura of Colorado, Mr. John Pate and his girlfriend Samantha Pipkin of Missouri, her sisters - in - law, Mrs. Barbara Dodson - Britt and her husband Richard of Missouri, and Mrs. Rosemary Dodson - Berry, and her husband Richard of Missouri, her granddaughters, Mrs. Rachel K. Dodson - Williams and her husband Charles of Virginia, Miss Ashley L. Dodson and Miss Brandy M. Dodson of Missouri, Miss Raven L. Dodson of South Carolina, her grandsons, Mr. Joshua J. Dodson of Virginia, Mr. Justin L. Dodson, of South Carolina, Mr. Cary W. Moore and Mr. Christian S. Moore of Virginia, Mr. Richard Z. Dodson of Missouri, Mr. Robert J. Wood and Mr. Darrell A. Wood of Virginia, Mr. Dillin L. Dodson of Virginia, Mr. Andrew S. Evans and Mr. Alex K. Evans of Virginia. She is also survived by 2 Great Grandchildren and a host of friends . All arrangements are being made through Peninsula Funeral Home 11144 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, Virginia and St. George’s Episcopal Church 15446 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, Virginia.
