    3. Jinks, THANKS for pointing out the difference. I had only made the note of the John Taylor household & didn't write down its members when I looked at the census. With Delann in her father's household in 1870, the 1867 marriage date has to be an error. One other thing about Benjamin F. Pate. I have him on the 1863/1864 Joe Brown Census still in Twiggs Co. 21st Senatorial Dist GA Militia enrollment dist #356 listed as Benjamin "P" Pate, age 16 yrs 7 mo, b GA. This is the correct district for Benjamin F Pate, s/o Samuel. A search of the Wilkinson Co Ga military records online at Rootsweb-archives yields a Benjamin F Pate, Co D 8th Regt GA Militia Wilkinson Co. I don't have the dates for this service but it could have occurred late in the war.
