    3. Rebecca & Grace & Joel, Pardon me for jumping in here. I noticed two surnames that I have in my STUBBLEFIELD family, both PATE AND BELL. I have in my STUBBLEFIELD FAMILY: JOHN S. STUBBLEFIELD & BETHENIA BELL'S daughter: Bethenia Stubblefield b: c.1865 TX m: 24 Aug 1882 in Franklin Co., TX to Nash Willoughby Pate b: 15 Aug 1860 Holmes Co., MS D: 25 Aug 1937 TX (his parents: Noah Pate b: c.1842 m: 28 Jul 1859 Richmond Co., NC to Mary Jane Covington b: c.1843?........I believe both Noah Pate and Mary Covington were from Richmond County, NC) P.S. Mary Jane Covington Pate married James Craton Carroll (son of John Wesley Carroll and Hulda Hearne) on 8/10/1865, so it would seem that Nash Willoughby Pate was the only child by Jane's 1st husband , and Nash's father Noah W. Pate was probably killed in the Civil War serving CSA duty in Mississippi after the 1860 census and before the above marriage for M.J. Covington Pate. I have information on the children from Mary Jane Covington Pate-Carroll's last marriage. Nash Pate & Bethenia Stubblefield children: Alvin (Guy) Edward Pate (1883) Lamar, TX d: 1957 Charles Edwin Pate (1887) Franklin, TX d: 1964 Dalbert W. Pate (1889) TX Ola A Pate (1892) Clarendon, Donley Co.,TX d: 1962 Gus Carlton Pate (1899) Tell,Childress Co., TX d: 1918 Oscar Willie Pate ( 1904) TX I would be interested in sharing BELL & PATE information.
