    3. The following are abstracts of Pate data appearing in the Federal Union newspaper 10 July 1830-July 1833, published at Milledgeville, Baldwin Co GA. The paper contained legal notices and sheriff sales, news, etc. from a widespread area of GA. These abstracts have been made by me from microfilm recently. There is a published book of abstracts of this newspater under the heading of Union Recorder [exact title not remembered] which is available at some large libraries. 10 July 1830 List of Letters Remaining in the Post Office at Monticello, Ga. James Pate, James Pate, jun.. 21 July 1831 A List of Letters Remaining in the Post office at Louisville, Ga [JEFFERSON CO, GA] on 1st day July 1831. Mrs. Chloe Payte 12 Jan 1832 NOTICE. Lost, on the road leading from IRWINTON, WILKINSON COUNTY, to MILLEDGEVILLE, on the 16th inst, a small deer leather foalding [sic] Pocket Book, tied round with the same kind of leather, with one 50 dollar bill, 2 twenty dollar bills, one ten dollar bill on the State Bank of Georgia, and one ten dollar bill on the Macon Bank, making $110, the number of neither of the bills recollected at present, with one State's warrant, issued in Stewart county; two accounts, one of 32 dollars and 75 cents, the other of thirty dollars; one receipt for $145 received of the subscriber, with several other small papers of various denominations not recollected. Any person finding the same will deliver it to SAMUEL WILLIAMS or THOMAS PATE the members from STEWART COUNTY, or to JOSEPH RILEY, living in WILKINSON COUNTY, will confer a favor on the subscriber and their sincere friend, with the addition of a reward of Twenty dollars. Willis' Dist. tolled before me an Estray Horse supposed to be sixteen years old, about 4 feet 8 inches high, rather a Dark Bay, hip shoten on the right hip, some white hairs on his back, occasioned by the saddle-Appraised by William A. Will be sold on 1st Tue in March next.at the court house in M'Donough, Henry county, the following property, or so much thereof as will satisfy the following amount of tax and cost: . Two hundred two and a half acres of land, number fifty-four, in the sixth district of Henry county-sold as the property of Aaron Pate: tax due $1 06 ¼ and cost 62 ½ cents. 10 Jan 1833 List of Letters remaining in the Post Office at Louisville, Ga [JEFFERSON CO., GA]on 1st day of January 1833 and if not taken out before the 1st day of April next, will be sent to the Post Office Department as dead letters. P.-Archy Payott. 31 Jan 1833 JONES SHERIFF SALE.-will be sold on 1st Tuesday in March next, at the courthouse in Clinton, Jones county. One negro girl named Cela, eight or nine years old-levied on as the property of David Pate to satisfy five executions issued from a Justice's Court, two in favor of Matthew A. Marshall against David Pate, and Peter L. Neal and Mark Patterson as securities, one in favor of Joshua Davis against David Pate, one in favor of John Davis against said Pate, and one other in favor of John Long against said Pate, property levied on and returned to me by William Coulter, constable. Conditions cash. CHARLES R. EATON, D. Sheriff. January 29. 21 Mar 1833 Georgia, DeKalb county, Whereas, Miles Patty, executor of the estate of William Paty, late of said county, dec'd, applies for letters of dismission from said estate.
