I could find him. The GA Death Index has a William Johnson age not given died 14 May 1922 in Clinch Co cert 31682-D
Joel, Thanks for the information. As you know, it's not my line. I'm just curious about the family. In studying the naming patterns, I can't help but notice that Sarah Pate Johnson's brother Elijah Bennett Pate names son William Allen Pate, b Jan 1843. Then she (SPJ) names son b 1 Jan 1843/1844 William Allen Pate Johnson. The confederate pension records will probably lead to correct death date for William Allen Pate Johnson & might also contain marriage date info. I will look them up the next time I go to Wallace State. Thanks for your help. No record of William A P Johnson's widow applying for pension after his death in Clinch Co GA.
