I recently received an email of inquiry from a woman researhing the TIPPS line. She says "My line of research is for Johnie Ella Pate born about 1863, died before 1894. Married to Peter G. Tipps on 11 Sep 1879 in Grayson Co. TX. I have a copy of the marriage license." She wanted to know if "Johnie" was a sibling to Amanda and Joseph Francis PATE (my husband's line). They were all living in Precinct 7, Grayson County, TX in 1880 and were all born in Texas. Amanda was living with an aunt (Frances Harris Fitzgerald) and Joseph was living as an adopted son of Robert Harris. I have a birth listing from a Family Bible that shows that Amanda and Joseph Francis had a sister, Sarah E., born on January 5, 1862. So, it appears that she (Sarah)would have been older than the 14 year old Johnie Ella TIPPS listed on the 1880 census. Does anyone have a Johnie Ella PATE listed? Thanks for any help you can provide.
