Love, Barbara and Bobby SIZEMORE This group descends from John PATE (1814 NC-1896 Chattahoochee Co, GA) and his wife Martha Ann WEATHERS (1820 Lincoln Co, GA-1900 Chattahoochee Co, GA), who m. 1837 in Lee Co, GA and resided in Muscogee Co, GA, as well as Chattahoochee.     3. For information and archival data: --------- ' Pope County (IL) History and Families 1816-1986 ' , pg. 305; Pope County Historical Society, Golconda, IL. "James M. PATE, adopted son of Mr and Mrs. Lewis PATE, born May 11, 1853, Jasper County, Kentucky. He died at Herod, Illinois with pneumonia fever, Dec. 22, 1917. At an early age, he was given to his mother's sister and husband. His adopted parents took him to Danville, Illinois where he grew up and married. His stepfather was a harness maker and James followed that trade. After his stepfather died, his stepmother re-married. She had children by her second husband. She then told him he was not her son, but the son of her sister who lived in Hardin County (Illinois). He went to Hardin County to search for his mother. She had married a WILSON and lived between the Humm Y and Rosiclare. After their reunion he decided to move his family to Hardin County. They moved on the Snoot place between Herod and Hartsville. James age 22, and Myra HENDERSON, age 16 were married Dec. 22, 1876. They had three children. Roddie born July 7, 1877, Homer born Nov. 15, 1880 and Karl born Aug. 14, 1886. <picture of Karl's family attached>. Homer married and had two sons before his death, Feb 4, 1908. J.T. (James Thomas), and Harold who died Jan 9, 1908. J.T. is presently residing in Pontiac, Mich. Roddie PATE married and had one daughter, Halene, who lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. After some trouble, he moved to Seattle, Washington. He married again out there. The exact date of his death was unknown. Karl PATE married Nellie Dott HART and had three children. Corinne Ovalie born May 31, 1910, Homer Ithiel born July 18, 1915, and Lovetta Maxine July, 29, 1917. After their divorce, he married Golda HUNSAKER. Corinne PATE married Hugie FULKERSON June 6, 1926, and moved to the Oak Community (Pope Co., Illinois?). They had two children: Lovetta Meredith born July 18, 1933, and Hughie Zan born Dec 22, 1940. Homer married Kathleen THORNSBERRY. They had two daughters: Suzanne born Jan. 1942 and Antonnett (Tony) born Oct 5, 1947. After discharge from the Navy, he developed a nerve disease and died two and one half years later on Nov 3, 1949. Maxine married William H. RENSHAW from Eldorado (Pope Co, IL?). They had two sons, Billy Max born Aug 22, 1936, and Ronnie Lee born Jan 7, 1944. After thirty five years of marriage, they divorced.
