    3. PATE, Rubye G.Passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 18, 2012, at the age of 88. Rubye was born on February 4, 1924, in Rover, Tennessee the youngest child of Allie and Braley Gentry. She was a kind, generous person who loved to help and bring joy to others. Rubye graduated from Eagleville High School. She is survived by two sons, James Barry Pate and his wife, Pamela of Chapel Hill, NC, and Michael H. Pate and his wife, Trish of Smyrna, TN. She is also survived by three grandchildren, James Pate of London, England, Branham Pate of Chapel Hill, NC, Adam Pate of Nashville and her sister, Allene Gentry Phelps of Hickory, NC. She was preceded in death by her brother Elvis Gentry of Chapel Hill, TN. She was employed for 56 years by Sanders Manufacturing as a Corporate Sales Executive and achieved multiple awards and honors during her career in advertising specialties. She had been a member of the Nashville Advertising Federation, the National Association of Women Executives, the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, and a founding member of the Donelson Business and Professional Women's Club. In 1998 she was honored by the Advertising Specialty Institute as one of 15 Women in Promotional Products Profession as the best in the advertising industry. She attended Two Rivers Baptist Church for many years until she could no longer attend due to declining health. The family would like to thank the staff at the Waterford Assisted Living Facility in Smyrna who were attentive, caring, and so very supportive during the last months of her life. A special thanks to Alive Hospice who helped her and the family through the last months of her journey through life. The family would like to thank many co-workers at Sanders Manufacturing, especially her devoted administrative assistant Ruth Ann Grovstein, and the Sanders family who supported her and her achievements during her career spanning multiple decades. Funeral service will be conducted the morning of Friday December 21, 2012 in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall at ten o'clock. Placement will follow in Simpson Cemetery Rover, TN. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation on the evening of Thursday December 20, 2012 from four to eight o'clock at WOODLAWN-ROESCH-PATTON FUNERAL HOME, (615) 383-4754.
