She was 59. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, Feb. 26, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and in the chapel on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gary Pearce. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her parents, Tony H. and Mae R. Kimble of Baker; daughter, Brandee Gayle of Slaughter; two grandchildren, Halee Gayle and Mikalynn Rogers, both of Slaughter; sister and brother-in-law, Peggie Jo and Jim Bob Hogan of Austin, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Pate; brother, Tony Lynn Kimble; and nephew, Fuzzy Melancon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expense.
