    3. Idell H. Pate Pate, Idell H. Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, at 1 p.m.     Idell H. Pate Pate, Idell H. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28. A resident of Central, she died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at her home. She was 76. She was born in Leeland, Miss., and was a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Thursday, Jan. 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home chapel on Friday, Jan. 5, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Merelin McCon. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Jane and Lee Causey, Virginia "Jenny" Smith, Brenda "Dodie" and Carl Richard Sr., and Margaret "Sugar" Crousillac; a son and daughter-in-law, H.L. Jr. and Donna Smith; 12 grandchildren, Melissa Jane Causey, Stacie Lynn Bujol, Alvin Guy Jr., Michelle Johnson, Becky Webb, Janelle Verbois, Carl Richard Jr., Sandy Harris, Christy Crousillac, Brian, Brad and Brett Smith; 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her lifelong companion and friend, her puppy, Tuffy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin V. Pate; parents, Fred N. and Levi Jane Sanderson Horsley; an infant child, Della Anne Smith; three sisters and three brothers.
