Mrs. Adelaide Miller Pate, formerly of Samson and Enterprise, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at the North Florida Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Graceville, Fla., following an extended illness. She was 90. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, from the First Baptist Church of Enterprise with Dr. Lance Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise officiating. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing until service time. Mrs. Pate was born March 31, 1917, in Geneva to the late James M. and Emma Gilmore Miller. She was preceded in death four days by her husband of 69 years, Clarence W. Pate. Survivors include her daughter, Betty C. Ausley of Dumfries, Va.; her son and daughter-in-law, James W. and Jerrilyn Pate of Dothan; two sisters, Mary Griswold of Geneva and Frances Inks of Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren, Laura and Jeremy Pate, both of Dothan, Michael Ausley of Kentucky, and Mark and Jason Ausley of Kentucky; six great grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews.
