Pate <patej@nettally.com> Joel, Jerry Vessels and his wife, Madeline, died in an early Sunday morning fire in Cherokee County, Texas, near Troup. The Tyler newspaper of Dec 31 gave their names. I have had much contact with Jerry since he has been the one who is President of the Pate Cemetery in Montgomery County, Texas. He is a descendant of William Nelson Pate through the daughter, Eugenia "Jennie" Pate. Jerry became a facebook friend in early November. A family member made a post that I saw. Jerry was 68.
